No more cold feet at kindy

Last night I knitted some Aunt Maggie’s slippers for my big girl with some wool I had in my stash that I had no idea what to do with. Araina loves the colour yellow so much so she says kowhai instead of yellow. 😆 The wool is Cleakheaton Vintage Hues and I used two balls at once to be double stranded with size 6 needles so it grew quick. The double stranding is to make the slippers extra cosy for the wearer. It was also interesting to see how the colour would go as the wool is variagted with two strands of colour so with two strnads going at once it makes four colour strands – hope you know what I mean!

Here are some photos of the slippers (taken last night in night light so colours may be a bit off) and being worn.
