My first commissioned knitting item!

My cousin’s wife contacted me after seeing my blog and wants a Kaia Babydoll top for her wee girl for summer time. I am very chuffed about this and when we were up in Auckland this past weekend I had to go to Spotlight and find some cotton suitable. I found some yummy bamboo cotton plus some of the Smoothie yarn which is aryclic but unbelievably soft.

I have finished the top in two days but it is currently blocking (drying in shape) and needs a ribbon to finish it off.

Here are some photos so far as a preview….

It looks beautiful. I knitted my daughter a top out of the Smoothie yarn too, (same color also) and it washed so well too. It lives up to its name.
