I have some gorgeous photos of the girls I would love to share. Over the weekend my eldest got her long hair cut and it really suits her.
New do for Ariana
Looking all grown up.
This is another photo of the eldest two modeling two Winter Garden Hats for me. These two hats were made for another set of sister’s in Christchurch. I bet they are needing them today with the huge Southerly blast hitting New Zealand.
Makayla and Ariana.
This morning when I dropped Makayla off at kindergarten, the photos were back from Photolife. I love the one of the girls together. I should line it up against the last one and see how much they have grown up.

This is of Makayla on her own.
Makayla at 4.5 years old.
Holly had her second birthday last Wednesday and I have been planning Makayla’s fifth birthday which is at the start of August. Makayla is very excited to turn five to go to school with her big sister.
Montage of our wee celebrations for Holly’s second birthday.
Big two year old.
Holly and I.
Holly had a surprise visit the day after her birthday from her wee friend as he wanted to bring a party to Holly. Very sweet however Holly had no idea about blowing the candle out.
It is getting closer to auction time on Hats for Ethan. Please come and check out the ever increasing range of hats. There are also some other types of things available to including a beautiful scarf, headbands and some yet to be revealed items.
Each item is handmade and all of the purchase price is going into a special fund for the MacMillian family to support their eldest son Ethan through his leukemia treatment. With each item sold it will help them and take off some of the financial pressure they are under in this very hard time.

My good friend Julia from Just One WIP has released her newest pattern that I helped test knit, called “Primrose”.
Blurb from the pattern:
Primrose – The Little Sister Pattern To Katniss.
Pretty. Feminine. Delicate.
Primrose is a stylishly simple and seamless pattern, featuring sweet lace panels in the raglans, waist and hem.
Great for layering with leggings or jeans in winter as a tunic, or knit in cotton for a pretty summer dress.
Primrose is written in 11 sizes (NB – 10 years) and looks just as gorgeous on older children as it does on babies. It comes with three easy to follow options within the pattern for the empire waist band – lace, lace eyelet (looks lovely with a ribbon threaded through) and a no lace option.
Designed to be knitted with a solid or semi solid yarn colour and all sizes use 3 feature buttons. Knitted top down and all in one piece.
It can be knitted with either 8 ply/DK or 10 ply/worsted, however the fabric of the finished garment depends upon the yarn you choose.
I really enjoyed knitting Holy’s Primrose dress and used some yarn I hand dyed in Orchid Pink.
Here are some photos of Holly in her Primrose:
Ever so cute!
Contact me if you would like to book a custom knit spot for this dress. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a knitter, go and get yourself a copy of the pattern!!!!
When I get to 300 peeps on my Chevgirl Knitting FaceBook page I will make a custom baby/kiddies hat. Can choose from a Benji Hat, Earflap Hat, Dolce Beret and possibly a new one 😉
