Last Sunday morning we welcomed our newest family member into our world. Wee Holly Grace was not waiting for the planned CS the next day and came early and by the good old fashioned way! I had an awesome team and we managed her entrance into the world so I wasn’t hurt like I was with her elder sister.
She is a delightful wee lass so far and is being totally adored by us all and especially her big sisters who are as proud as punch.
It is so nice to see how the wee knitted items I made for her fit. ♥
I have been busy creating things but also being a Mum and wife as well as growing #3 baby girl! Hard life I tell you! 🙂
I have been on a girls weekend to the Coromandel and had some lovely time out with some fab friends (3 out of the 6 of us are in the last trimester with our 3rd babies!) and I managed to get some knitting done & dusted while away.
Here are some new knits for Baby Girl #3 due in a few weeks time. 🙂

NB Elizabeth Tunic
Here is a wee little dress for bubs – The Elizabeth Tunic in 100Purewool which is so soft. Click here for more photos on my ravelry page.
Little Butterflies in size 12 months
Ok I am getting ahead of myself but I have been itching to use this wool. It has been in my stash for 2 years at a guess. Doing a bigger sized Little Butterflies seemed the perfect match. It is gorgeous Jolly Jumbuck 8ply bought in co-op. The colour is divine and it is called Mermaid’s Lair with hints of other colours in it. Click here for more photos of this project on my Ravelry page.
Baby Chalice Blanket
This Baby Chalice Blanket went on hold for a bit and then in a few days I did most of it! I also have realized through this that I was doing YO’s so wrong! How daft was I!?! Anyway, all has been rectified and it started looking more open as it should be. Check out the link here for more photos on the blanket on my Ravelry page.
Current WIP (works in progress):
This is a new cardigan designed by Kelly Brooker called Puerperium Cardigan. The word puerperium means the first six weeks of a baby’s life. I am doing the free NB version but there are testers busy trying other ply’s and bigger sizes so it should be a great pattern to have on hand.
Hats will be needed for baby since she will be a true winter babe! This hat is to match the NB 4ply Little Butterflies I have already made in the same wool. It is called the Swirl Hat and is from premmie to adult so very versatile and FREE! This project is on hold but I hope to get it done soon….
I have also done some custom knits so will reveal those once the recipient has them. 🙂
I was very much relieved to package up my goodies to pass on to Julia for this weekend’s Craft 2.0 event where us gals at Coco Kids are having our first ever stall!
Here are some sneak peek photos from me….
Come and check us out. Ali & Julia will be there with big smiles on the first floor 🙂 Say that Kate sent you 😉

I have been busy I promise! I have been making some items for Craft 2.0 as us Coco Kids gals are having a stall there. I will be there in spirit as we have a very important 5th birthday to celebrate in my family! Exciting!!!!

Following on from my earlier post introducing my new custom knit here is another bigger version of the Elizabeth Tunic (designed by Amy Curletto) that I did for Makayla. I did the largest size that the pattern offers which is 2t/3T. I could have knitted it a bit longer with out more increasing but this is a good length on Makayla.
It was fun knit with the varigated Paton’s Jet providing some interest as the colours slowly changed. It fits very well on Makayla which is great and looks very cute on too!
I have a new custom knit that I am under license to knit that I want to show you! 🙂
It is the Elizabeth Tunic designed by Amy Curletto from Aligator Knits. It is a simple wee top that has a neat yoke top with a closure at the back with two buttons. This knit caters fro NB, 3 months, 6 – 12 months, 12 – 18 months, 18 – 24 months and size 2 -size 3.
I couldn’t resist knitting one for my niece Jade who is 7 weeks old. I knitted the 6 months size and it looks good on her now so she will have plenty of time to wear the top. I knitted it to more like a dress and to give more warmth.

I used some 8ply wool in stash – The Wool Company varigated colour way Mixed Berry and some lovely plain wool from my late Nana’s wool stash. It was nice knitting this knowing that Nana’s wool was going to be worn by one of her new Great Grandchildren but unfortunately one she never got to meet. Nana I am sure would be pleased to know her wool is being crafted as she intended when she bought it.
Anyway I digress! I simply have to add some more photos of Jade and her new dress. 🙂 After all I am a proud Aunty!
Lots of smiles!
All this looking cute is hard work!
I will add pricing for the sizes to the custom knitting area very soon I promise. In the meantime if you are busting to know then email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
